All competitive divers must be full members of the diving club so that they are insured to train and compete away from Sheffield, and so that the team staff (coaches, chaperones etc) can look after them when they are away. Any new squad athletes will be approached before the competitive season begins to join the diving club.
City of Sheffield Diving Club
The diving club is the competitive outlet for the divers on the Sheffield diving programme. The club is an ASA registered body, and sets policy for the divers on club trips. It provides chaperones and managers on teams, and arranges training courses for coaches and chaperones.
